Adam Style

At the height of the Georgian period, a fresh, Neo-classical style for architecture and interior design came to epitomize the age. From the mid 1750’s until the mid 1780’s a style developed that came to be associated for ever afterwards with the name of the leading architect, Robert Adam. Best known from the great houses of the day, the style also permeated the dwellings of the middle classes In the cities and towns of England and America.
